Ancient civilizations used the aloe plant extensively. They reaped many benefits. Aloe vera juice is only one use of the plant. Aloe can be turned into a cream, an ointment, a shampoo, a medicine for a wide range of ailments, and - as recently discovered by researchers from the University of Pittsburgh - as blood coagulant that just may keep soldiers from dying of blood hemorrhage.
Are the benefits aloe vera juice are said to give supported by scientific information? The answer is yes. In one issue of General Dentistry, the clinical and peer-reviewed journal of the Academy of General Dentistry, it was revealed that drinking aloe vera juice can get rid of cold sores, herpes simplex viruses, gingivitis, and cold sores.
